Overview of Instant Lolly Loans

Instant Lolly is a short-term and payday loan broker, owned by the UK company Amaze Media. They provide instant payday loans from £100 to £3000 over 1 to 24 months.

For those not acquainted with online payday loan brokers — they offer a loan matching or loan finding service, which enables you to enter your application details just once on the broker site and search a number of lenders (the panel) in one go.

Many brokers don’t have access to their own matching software and use the services of an aggregator (commonly known as a pingtree) – in these instances, although the application form looks like it is part of the brokers website,  it is actually a page on the pingtree website where the processing and matching takes place. In this scenario, if you don’t get accepted by a lender first time round and move on to another broker site, you could unknowingly waste your time re-entering your information into the same back-end system with the inevitable same outcome.

Instant Lolly use their own matching software so you’re unlikely to come across exactly the same panel of lenders elsewhere – although household lenders like Wonga, Peachy and QuickQuid are likely to feature in most pingtrees. You can apply to borrow between £100 and £3000 from 1 to 24 months via the website, which is good but it’s not the best — some brokers offer up to £5000.

Like direct lenders, brokers are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Instant Lolly display their Consumer Credit Licence in the website footer along with a data protection number, so you can be sure that your application will be managed respectfully and responsibly – and if it’s not, you have the reassurance of a complaints procedure that can be escalated to the Financial Ombudsman. The site also has a secure certificate which means that your personal information is during transit over the Internet.

Andy Cash

RIP Andy Cash

The site has recently had a makeover and despite losing its weird little characters (like Andy Cash left), it will now work on your mobile and tablets as well as on desktops.

We found the application form very easy to use – and preferable to the plugin iframes provided by third-parties (which are nasty). As with any short-term loan application, there’s around 30 pieces of information to supply, which takes around 5 minutes to complete. Once you click ‘submit’, expect to wait a further 60 – 90 seconds for an answer.
